The Root of Success in Mafia Wars

There are so many people playing Mafia Wars with so many different styles of play that it might seem impossible to become one of the truly good ones who are capable of knocking off his or her opponents with ease and practiced skill. Yet, there are some very specific things you can do that, if done properly, will help you be successful at the game no matter what your play style is.

Building Your Mafia

Your mafia is the single most important thing for you success in this game. If you want to do well, make sure you have a decent sized collection of family members even as you just get started. This can be done easily enough by contacting all your friends, going to blogs and swapping mafia members with other mafias on forums. Never spend your Godfather points on getting new members however. It's not worth it.

Getting Godfather Points

Godfather points are the root of all success in this game. The attack power and defensive boosts you get from loading up on these points is enough to help you take on enemies 50 or 100 levels higher than you. That kind of power up is almost impossible to come by any other way. The key here is not to spend cash on these or to give away your real contact info to the special offers that the game wants you to fill out. Rather, use a fake email address and sign up for as many that don't require credit card numbers as possible.

Playing Every Day

If you play the game every day you can do a tremendous job of tapping your energy when it is available and getting the most out of your account. Additionally, you can play the lottery daily and get a much better rate of return on your Godfather points. You don't need to play hours a day, but a 10 minute login every day will do wonders for your play.

If you do these things, are ruthless with your opponents and never fall behind in the game, you will quickly find that you can blast your way to the top of the Mafia Wars hierarchy without having to pay any extra cash, or wheedle any favors out of your fellow players. Just play well, be careful and build your mafia quickly. Those are the secrets to success.

Why You Should Never Pay Cash for Godfather Points in Mafia Wars

The odds are pretty good that you've not only played Mafia Wars at some point, but that you've pined over the best way to build and succeed with your Mafia, while not actually pouring your hard earned cash into unnecessary investments, such as the Godfather points that so many players seem to rack up so easily. Lucky for you, there are many ways to get those points, and to make them go further without having to spend a single dime doing it. Here are the best ways to get ahead legitimately:

1. Play the Game Daily

One of the least likely, but still worthwhile ways to get Godfather points is to just logon to the game each day and pick your lottery numbers. By playing daily, you up the chances that you will win extra points without actually having to do anything. It may seem like a longshot, but over the course of a year or so, those odds will stack up and eventually you'll get at least a few out of the deal.

2. Do the Offers, but Carefully

The offers are always good ways to get Godfather points, but you need to be careful not to give away any personal information, lest you start getting inundated with spam. Stay clear of any 'free trial' offers because you don't want to get the monthly fees tacked on when you forget to turn them off. You also don't want to be giving out you credit card number. If you're picky about which offers you choose to sign up for, you can significantly reduce the chances that you actually end up spending money for those points.

3. Use Fake Contact Details

A simple way to get around paying cash or getting stuck with spam for your points is to use fake contact information. Set up a few fake email addresses and use those to sign up for things. They will load up with spam quickly and you can forget about them when you are done. It takes a little extra time, but it's well worth it if you never have to sort through all that junk mail you're going to inevitably get when you fill out those offer forms.

If you do it properly, you can get as many Godfather points as you ever need without having to spend a single dime doing it, or worry about having your email inbox overloaded with unwanted messages from all those companies you're signing up for. Then, it'll be time to start knocking off your opponents one by one.

Three Easy Ways to Grow Your Mafia in Mafia Wars

Mafia Wars is a game about many things, but first and foremost among those things is the importance of growing your Mafia. If you're not able to build a large enough group of fellow players to use in the game, you're going to find it very hard to acquire the resources and complete the jobs necessary to stay on top. So, what are the best ways to grow that mafia and take control? Here are three highly effective ways to make it happen without having to spend a single Godfather Point.

1. Networking on Facebook

Facebook and MySpace are already huge social networks and if you have a few hundred friends, use them. Send out invitations to everyone on your friend list to join your mafia, regardless of how well you know them (steer clear of your co-workers and boss though if you have work connections). Most people will just say yes and if they already have their account, they'll reciprocate. Don't waste time by not using the tools already in front of you.

2. Forums and Chatrooms

Alternately, you can find plenty of social venues where you can discuss the game and find people willing to swap places with you in each other's mafias. This is a prime way to start building up your mafia size without having to spend any additional points or make new friends. You don't need to stay social to keep you mafia size up, so just find a few people willing to take the rewards you give them and you should be good.

3. Blogging and Craigslist

If you have a blog or are well known somewhere, use that prestige to gather new members. A simple note on your blog about needing new family members will often times take care of the problem all by itself. Alternately, you can post an ad on Craigslist and ask people to join up (it does actually work). Just make sure you don't give away any personal information until you have checked out the people who reply.

If you use the tools that the Internet provides you for free, you'll quickly find that it takes very little time or effort to boost your position on Mafia Wars with a full family of 500. It might seem like a stretch, but in just a few weeks you can be one of those top level players too.

Five Things that Need Careful Planning in Mafia Wars

Mafia Wars is one of those games that requires very careful planning and a keen eye for detail if you're serious about landing the highest level rewards and truly performing well against fellow players. However, for a game that seems so relatively simple to get into, the game holds a tremendous amount of depth, which can make that planning relatively hard. So, here are five things you should keep in mind as you get started:

Your Family Size

If you're serious about winning, build your family size up as quickly as possible. This means from level 1 you should be out there recruiting heavily. If you wait until you're Level 100, you'll spend countless extra hours trying to make things work without actually having a gameplan. Use Facebook, contact your friends, use your blog. Whatever tools are at your disposal should be used carefully to build that family size up.

Your Godfather Points

You need Godfather points, but you should be careful about how you get them. Some people willingly spend cash or give away their personal data to get them and there's no reason. Rather, you can spend just a few minutes each day filling out your lottery numbers, and using fake information for offers and get all the Godfather points you need.

Completing Jobs

Complete your jobs as quickly as you can and with the most possible rewards. The key here though is to remember that you need to scale up your jobs as you level and to do a diverse range of them to get all the possible rewards so that later on, you will have all the jobs available to you.

Buying Properties

Buy properties, starting with the easiest to attain. You'll find that as the properties break down, you need to spend money to keep them up, so don't waste any time buying properties that are not going to give a solid return on their investment.

Fighting Your Enemies

Fighting your fellow players in Mafia Wars is more or less pointless and wastes your resources. Rather, you should focus on building your levels, getting more points and recruiting new family members. If you do that with the time you have each day, you'll be much more successful in the long run.

If you follow the details outlined above, you'll do much better in Mafia Wars than you ever thought possible. It's a simple matter of being careful with the time you have to spend and analyzing how you invest everything carefully.

Discover the Secret to Hoarding the Most Godfather Points in Mafia Wars

When you’re playing Mafia Wars, cash is pretty easy to come by. Godfather points, on the other hand, are a rare treasure and tough to acquire. They’re very valuable too, so you want to find a way to get as many as you can quickly. This is easier said than done, to be sure, but it can be done. You just have to make it a priority and invest a little bit of time and effort. If you do that though, you’ll be way ahead in no time.

Cash

Of course, you can just pay cash for Godfather points. There are other ways to go about it though that won’t cost you anything, so it’s not really the best option at your disposal. If you’re desperate though, the option is always there. You can get 85 points for $20, which is a serious boost in the game for not that much money.

Daily Chance

You automatically get a free ticket in this raffle every day. It’s up to you whether or not you want to spend your Godfather points on extra tickets in the hopes of winning more, but it’s definitely worth it to enter your free ticket. You should also hold off on claiming your Ticket Mastery Bonus until you’re entered 6 tickets. That way, you’re guaranteed at least 1 and up to 5 Godfather points just for playing. None of the other Mastery Bonuses are really going to have any lasting impact on your success in the game, so it’s not worth bothering to collect them.

Level Up

Of course, you get a Godfather point every time you advance to a new level in the game. This will happen relatively quickly if you focus on getting as many jobs done as you can. This tactic isn’t going to get you a big stockpile of points all on its own, but every little bit helps.

Surveys

The best way to accumulate a lot of Godfather points in a hurry is to fill out as many surveys as you can. You can see the list of available surveys on the bottom of the Godfather page along with their cost and the payout you’ll get by filling them out. Again, the surveys with the best payoffs are the ones that require you to spend a small amount of money – at least initially.

There are plenty of free ones though, and they don’t take much time, so you can do a lot of them at once. The only other thing you might want to think about doing is opening another email account to use for the surveys. You’ll be getting a ton of promotional material once you start filling them out, so it’s worth it to keep that stuff away from your regular inbox.

Godfather points come in very handy in a lot of different situations in Mafia Wars. If you want to be successful and move up quickly in the game, you’re going to need to accumulate as many as you can early on. Just be sure to spend them wisely and you’ll be well on your way to Mafia Wars domination.

Speed Leveling Tips for Mafia Wars

There are quite a few ways to progress through Mafia Wars. You may want to invest time and money in winning fights, building up your mafia, or expanding your business empire. No matter what you do though, it's in your best interests to level up quickly. Every time you get to a new level, your energy, health, and stamina automatically refill. This allows you to keep playing for longer periods and gives you more resources to invest however you choose. It's pretty easy to see, then, why levelling up quickly is always in your best interests.

All About Energy

Every time you master a job or move up a level, you gain skill points that you can use to improve various aspects of your character. Especially at the beginning of the game, you should only use those skill points to increase your maximum energy. Without energy, you can't do much in the game. The more energy you have though, the more jobs you'll be able to do. This means more experience points and a more speedy advance to the next level.

Getting a Good Return

You'll also want to focus on doing the jobs that offer the biggest payoff in terms of experience points relative to the energy they require. No matter what job you do, you'll be bringing in a good amount of cash. You'll make more in the long run though if you focus on getting the maximum experience rather than the maximum cash out of the jobs you choose to do. The more experience you have, the faster you'll level up, and the more energy you'll have to keep doing jobs and earning cash.

Your Top Mafia

Promoting a good top Mastermind as soon as possible will also improve your ability to level up quickly. Having the right person in that position will allow you to earn more experience points from each job you do. You can also benefit from having a good Wheelman in place. Filling this position makes it possible for you to do more jobs because you'll need less energy for each.
The quality of the player that you choose to promote to these positions will have an effect on the benefit you get out of it. The better the player, the greater the gain. Choose wisely and you'll be blowing through levels in no time.

Wait to Fight

You gain experience from winning fights as well as from doing jobs, but fights can cost you a lot more in other areas. Also, if you're snuffed in a fight, you can actually lose experience points. Staying out of fights and focusing on doing jobs is the best way to move up quickly in the game. Once you've established yourself and build up a solid mafia empire, you can pick all the fights you want.
There are all kinds of avenues to explore as you move through the levels in Mafia Wars. Leveling up quickly gives you quite a few advantages, and it also allows you to go on and expand your mafia empire to other parts of the world.

Getting 500 Family Members at Top Speed in Mafia Wars

There are quite a few reasons that having a big family in Mafia Wars is an advantage. Especially if you want to move up quickly, you need to have a lot of people backing you up. With a big enough mafia, you'll be much less vulnerable to attack, and you'll be able to win any fights you choose to enter. You'll also be able to protect your hotels and casinos from vandalism and robbery so that the cash can keep flowing from them uninterrupted.

Getting to that point though means that you'll likely have to go outside your normal circle of friends in search of Mafia Wars allies. There are several ways to do this, and the quicker you get started, the quicker you'll be able to get to the top in the game.

Ask Everyone You Know

Although you'll eventually have to look elsewhere for allies to fill out your mafia's ranks fully, the best place to start building your family is from your friend list. The game offers you the option of inviting some or all of your friend with an automated message. This is certainly convenient, but it likely won't get you the best possible response.

A better approach is to send a private message to each of your friends individually. You can use the same message for all of them, but most people are more likely to respond to a personal message than they are to an automated summons. Also, if you write the message yourself, you can make it clear to your friends that they don't actually have to play the game to help you. If they just agree to join your mafia, their work will be done. Make sure you invite everyone you know though. You'll often be surprised by who the most enthusiastic players turn out to be.

Forums

Once you've exhausted your friend list options, it's time to move on to Mafia Wars forums. Here you'll find other players who are as serious and excited about this game as you are. You'll see that some of these players post recruitment messages inviting others to join their mafias.

You don't want to post one of these messages yourself, however. Instead, invite all of the players who've posted recruitment messages to join your mafia. These are the most serious players and will likely prove to be your most valued allies. Just be sure to send them a private message and mention Mafia Wars in it. Many people won't pay attention to a message from someone they don't know unless they know it's for the game.

With these two tactics, you'll be able to build up your mafia quickly and relatively effortlessly. You just have to be careful not to add too many people you don't know at once. Not all of the profiles you come across in the forums will be real, and you won't know which ones aren't if you add too many at once. A reasonable amount of caution is always recommended, but for the most part, you shouldn't have any trouble putting together a large and powerful mafia with players from forums.

The Five Things Not to Do in Mafia Wars

You’ll have a lot of options as you begin to build your criminal empire in Mafia Wars. This is one of the best things about the game, but it can also make it hard to figure out where your priorities should be. All of the decisions you make early on will have a significant impact on the speed at which you’re able to advance in the game. Here are a few helpful hints on pitfalls to avoid if you want to succeed quickly in Mafia Wars.

Fighting

There’s nothing wrong with fighting, but you’ll want to pick your battles wisely. Don’t start a fight unless you know you can win it. Going after someone just because they attacked you is a good way to waste valuable time and resources. You’ll have plenty of time to pick fights later on when you’re rich and powerful. Best to wait ‘til then to take your revenge.

Property

Each property offers a slightly different return on your investment. When you’re first starting out in the game, you need to get some cash coming in, but you probably won’t have a big mafia in place yet to protect your investments. Don’t go out and build up a bunch of hotels and casinos at this point because you’ll just be asking someone to come rob you. Just focus on buying up the property you’ll need to build these on later on.

Godfather Points

You’ll be tempted constantly with different novelty items to buy with your Godfather points. Resist this urge. Godfather points are valuable and hard to come by. You’ll need as many as you can get your hands on later on, and you’ll regret it if you squander a bunch of them early in the game.

Skill Points

You can use skill points to improve your character in several different ways. Don’t waste your skill points increasing your character’s attack and defence rating, however. The assorted weapons and other armaments you buy along the way will take care of you in those areas. It’s a waste to spend your skill points on these character aspects and it won’t do you much good anyway.

The Bank

While the bank’s 10% laundering fee can be frustrating, it’s better to put your money in there where it’ll be safe. If you just leave all your extra cash lying out in the open, you’re just begging someone to come along and take it. You can’t lose money in a fight if it’s in the bank, so keep it there until you’re ready to use it.
You have a lot of options in Mafia Wars and a lot of different territories to explore. Cuba and Moscow are now open for business, and there are new regions coming soon as well. You want to be prepared to take on these new challenges as they become available, so conserve your resources and spend your money wisely. You’ll benefit big time in the end if you do, and before you know it, you’ll wind up in charge of the biggest and most powerful mafia around.

5 Quick Tips to Mafia Wars Success

5 Quick Tips to Jump Starting Your Mafia Wars Success

When you first start playing Mafia Wars, it can be hard to figure out what your priorities should be. You have a lot of options, which is a big part of what makes the game so engaging to play. But the speed with which you’re able to advance and succeed in the game will have a lot to do with some of the decisions you make early on. Setting your priorities in order from the beginning will make it much easier for you to build up your mafia empire quickly.

Stick to the Basics

It can be tempting to go out and buy up a lot of weapons, armour, and vehicles right from the start. You feel like you need to have the biggest guns out there to compete, but that’s just not true. You’ll pick up plenty of weapons and other equipment that’s required for jobs or that you find on the job. In the early stages of the game, that’s all the equipment you’ll need and you’ll be able to spend your money on other things.

Buy Land

The best thing to do with your extra cash at first is to buy up all the land you can. You don’t necessarily want to build on it yet because you might not have a large enough mafia to protect it. But having that land means you have money coming in other than what you earn by doing jobs. This is a huge help, especially when you start to acquire the equipment that has upkeep costs.

Control Your Temper

It will be very tempting for you to jump into a fight at every opportunity. You’ll have plenty of time for this down the road though, and it’s better to wait until you’re well established in the game and know that you’ll be able to win any fight you start. Even if someone else attacks you, don’t take the bait. You can always get back at them later.

Save Your Godfather Points

There are all kinds of interesting and tempting items to spend your Godfather points on early on in the game. You’ll be much better off down the road though if you conserve those points. They’ll be of much more use to you later in the game, and since they’re not so easy to come by, it’s best to be saving them from the beginning.

Recruit Everyone You Know

The easiest way to get ahead fast in this game is to have the biggest mafia around. This means you can include up to 500 people in your mafia. While you’ll likely have to go out and recruit some people who aren’t already on your friend list to do this, you can get off to a good start by inviting everyone you know to join you. You’ll likely be surprised just which people take you up on your offer.

There are a lot of paths you can take to success in Mafia Wars. If you want to get to the top fast though, you should keep these tips in mind as you start out to build your very own mafia empire.
